After yet another failed attempt to get into both Cornershop and Wee Jeanie, my favourite cafes in the area, the girls and I almost bolted into Feedback Cafe to escape the cold outside. After seeing no vacant tables we were about to give up but luck was on our side because a man sitting on his lonesome at a table for four so kindly offered up his spot (good karma is on its way Sir!).
It wasn’t until I was sitting down relieved from the cold that I took in the surroundings of the cafe. Vintage is probably the best way to describe it. Feedback Cafe is full of quirkiness, from the retro furniture and decor to the gorgeous old school saucers and spoons and the records for sale.
It’s almost like stepping back in time!
Service is very friendly and there is just something cosy and comfortable about this place. I enjoyed my scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, particularly the bread which was so fresh. I thought the side of tomatoes was quite pricey ($4) for what you got but overall for $12 I was comfortably full.
Overall a positive experience in a unique cafe setting in Yarraville. Feedback also have some delicious sounding southern dishes that I’ll have to return for another time.
